The bridge is so famous for its garish orange colour, which makes it stand out against the blue of the ocean and sky. It is a very long bridge indeed (2,700 m), but above all, it is strong! In fact, it is designed to withstand the strong gusts of wind that characterise San Francisco Bay and the frequent earthquakes!

To get acclimatised we recommend the tour bus, while to save on attractions and activities you can buy the San Francisco Go City All-Inclusive Pass.
